Database Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Database Engineer to manage and optimize Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database systems across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Oracle 11g/19c RAC, MySQL 5.7/8, and PostgreSQL database systems across various environments
• Plan and execute database upgrades while ensuring minimal downtime and perform advanced troubleshooting and query performance tuning
• Develop automation for database operations and manage backup and recovery operations to meet RPO/RTO targets

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or DBA in production environments
• Strong expertise in Oracle 11g/19c RAC administration and MySQL 5.7/8 performance tuning
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL administration and proficiency in Linux systems administration
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Terraform, and Ansible
• Familiarity with high-availability components like HAProxy and Keepalived
