Database Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Database Engineer, the candidate will manage database architecture, optimize PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and availability.

Key responsibilities:

• Create and update database architecture, including schemas and stored procedures
• Analyze and optimize PostgreSQL/Microsoft SQL databases to ensure 99.9% availability
• Collaborate with developers and IT teams to troubleshoot and enhance database performance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration and performance tuning
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for database management
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
