Database Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the planning, building, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise database environments, the full-time Database Engineer will manage Oracle and SQL platforms, perform routine administration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform database installation, configuration, and routine administration activities across production and non-production environments
• Monitor database performance and system health, identifying and resolving issues under senior guidance
• Support database migrations and assist with the implementation of security controls and compliance measures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in database administration or data platform operations in enterprise environments
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server database platforms
• Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and monitoring tools
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional IT teams
