Database Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Database Engineer who will manage production database troubleshooting, incident root cause analysis, and observability tooling development while working flexibly or remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Become a subject matter expert in production database troubleshooting and performance analysis
• Own complex incident root cause analysis across multi-tenant PostgreSQL/MariaDB fleets
• Develop automation and tooling to prevent recurrence of critical issues and influence infrastructure decisions

Required qualifications:

• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including advanced query performance tuning and transaction management
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS or cloud infrastructure platforms
• Strong Unix/Linux skills, including performance diagnostics and process management
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
