Database Engineer

Job Summary

To support a large federal government project, the full-time Database Engineer will design, administer, and optimize enterprise database solutions remotely, leveraging PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and cloud technologies to ensure high-performing database environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases, including architecture and database objects
• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and efficient query execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support enterprise database solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in database engineering or administration
• Proficiency in administering and optimizing PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases
• Experience with cloud-based database environments in AWS and Azure
• Strong expertise in SQL development and database performance tuning
