Database Engineer Consultant

Job Summary

Leading the development and support of database technologies, the full-time remote Database Engineer Consultant will architect and implement data masking solutions, engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement data masking and virtualization solutions to protect sensitive data in non-production environments
• Engage with application owners and technical teams to educate on data masking technologies and compliance requirements
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and automation for monitoring and validating data protection controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Database Technologies or a High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience
• Strong expertise in TLS, HTTPS, certificates, PKI, and encryption protocols
• Hands-on experience with Delphix data masking and virtualization
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, or SQL
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR
