Database Engineer II

Job Summary

To support the global physical security platform, the full-time Database Engineer II will design, implement, and manage large-scale databases, ensuring high availability and performance in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and support of databases critical to operational success
• Establish security controls and monitor data management policies and procedures
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize database performance and scalability

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus three years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience
• Three years of experience in Linux and/or Windows Systems administration
• Experience with database administration technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS-SQL
• Experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Experience with ETL tools and Hadoop system administration
