Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Database Engineer II will be responsible for the development, testing, and production deployment of database products in a cloud environment, focusing on data modeling, performance enhancements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and create complex data models while implementing data products to support business needs
- Test applications using database management software and gather system metrics to identify and resolve issues
- Mentor junior Database Engineers and evaluate new technologies for potential IT services
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of Data Management experience with a focus on database architecture and data integration
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data roles with advanced engineering principles
- Fluent in SQL and experienced in designing, developing, and deploying data warehouses
- Familiarity with cloud migrations and building data pipelines on Azure
