Database Management Specialist II
Job Summary
Providing technical expertise in database management, the fully remote Database Management Specialist II will develop, implement, and maintain policies for the security and integrity of the NINR database environments while occasionally attending onsite client meetings in Maryland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend DBMS products
- Analyze current database structures and define file organization, indexing, and security procedures
- Design, test, and implement database changes while monitoring access and usage of databases
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience designing and implementing database and data warehouse structures, preferably in a federal government setting
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Dataverse and/or SQL Server in M365
- Strong demonstrated skills in developing and editing system documentation and project management materials
- One of the following certifications: Microsoft MCSA, SQL 2016 Database Administration, or Azure Database Administrator Associate (Dataverse focus)
