Job Summary
To support the National Institute of Nursing Research's modernization efforts, the full-time Database Management Specialist II will manage the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of relational data models in Microsoft Dataverse, focusing on enhancing data security and governance while collaborating with various stakeholders in a primarily remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain relational data models in Microsoft Dataverse for administrative data and business processes
- Analyze existing data sources to identify modernization opportunities and migration requirements
- Plan and execute the migration of legacy data into Dataverse, ensuring data quality and compliance with governance standards
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in database management, data engineering, or related IT disciplines
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dataverse or substantial experience with Microsoft data platforms
- Experience with data migration processes, including mapping, transformation, and validation
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data-access controls
- U.S. citizenship and ability to comply with HHS/NIH security and privacy requirements
