Database Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Database Reliability Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, performance, and scalability of the PostgreSQL infrastructure
• Analyze and implement best practices for database clusters, including high availability and disaster recovery
• Develop automation and self-service tooling for database interactions and lead incident response for production issues

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience running PostgreSQL in production at scale
• Solid software engineering skills, with experience in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize complex queries
• Familiarity with cloud database services on AWS or equivalent platforms
