Database Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure the availability and reliability of data, the full-time remote Database Reliability Engineer will manage day-to-day reliability tasks, collaborate on performance tuning, and advance automation and tooling across Microsoft SQL Server and other systems.

Key responsibilities

• Protect and ensure continuous data availability while collaborating with senior team members to analyze and optimize database performance
• Document and automate routine database tasks to enhance operational efficiency and assist in building internal tools for developers
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres
• Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and strong T-SQL troubleshooting skills
• Ability to follow and improve runbooks and documentation for repeatable tasks
• Comfortable with both Windows and Linux systems and familiar with Git workflows
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or MariaDB for common administrative tasks
