Database Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Database Reliability Engineer will manage automated reliability and correctness test workflows within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring the performance and stability of the InfluxDB Enterprise 3 product.
Key responsibilities
- Own and execute automated reliability, regression, and correctness test workflows within the CI/CD pipeline
- Implement and maintain repeatable test contracts to validate query accuracy and database compactions
- Collaborate with core developers to convert high-level specifications into formal test constraints
Required qualifications
- Deep hands-on experience developing with Rust or a desire to learn Rust, with system experience in C++ or Golang
- Proven track record in performance, regression, and reliability validation frameworks
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of work experience
- Comfort using modern AI tools for troubleshooting and analyzing logs
- Competency with containerized environments and orchestration frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes
