Job Summary

To support a major federal enterprise digital optimization and modernization program, the contract-to-hire Database Subject Matter Expert will leverage over 8 years of IT experience, focusing on modernizing legacy tax processing systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Modernize critical legacy tax processing systems to enhance user experience and regulatory compliance
• Utilize expertise in Java/J2EE, Oracle DB, IBM DB2, and SQL to improve database management and administration
• Ensure adherence to government security requirements and manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with a focus on specialized IT disciplines
• Active MBI Clearance and current Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
• 4+ years of experience with IBM DB2 database management and IBM z/OS mainframe operating systems
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery strategies and system architecture
• US Citizenship required
