Database Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support a major federal enterprise digital optimization and modernization program, the contract-to-hire Database Subject Matter Expert will modernize critical legacy tax processing systems, enhance user experience, and ensure regulatory compliance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Modernize legacy systems to improve user experience and compliance
• Implement disaster recovery strategies and manage system architecture
• Oversee database programming and administration, focusing on IBM DB2 and z/OS mainframe systems

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• Active MBI Clearance and current Government Furnished Equipment
• 6+ years of experience in database programming and/or administration
• 4+ years of experience with IBM DB2 database management
• Strong understanding of government security requirements
