Databricks Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To build, automate, and operate foundational services for a secure and scalable enterprise Databricks platform, the remote Databricks Platform Engineer will develop governance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver efficient data and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain governance automation for Unity Catalog, including access controls and policy enforcement
• Develop scalable data ingestion and transformation frameworks using Spark and Delta Lake
• Own the Databricks CI/CD framework, ensuring standards for automated testing and release automation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, along with solid software engineering practices
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Working knowledge of Unity Catalog and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
