Job Summary
To support enterprise database environments in a hybrid delivery model, the remote DB2 LUW Database Administrator will manage and maintain DB2 LUW databases across Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms, focusing on database migration, performance tuning, and collaboration with application development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain DB2 LUW database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Create and manage DB2 LUW instances and databases, supporting development, testing, and production environments
- Perform database migrations to cloud-based platforms and support operational stability and database availability
Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience with DB2 LUW database administration across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments
- Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience with database object migration and data conversion
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL with strong query performance tuning and optimization skills
- Experience in developing and maintaining Linux and Unix shell scripts for database administration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
