DBQ Reviewer - Maryland Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DBQ Reviewer I, responsible for reviewing medical documentation and ensuring compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine complex medical exam reports for completeness and accuracy, adhering to VA guidelines
• Identify and document quality issues, escalating to management as necessary
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver feedback and assist with revising medical exam reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year in the medical field as a Scribe, Military Corpsman/Medic, or Certified Medical Assistant, biller/coder; OR relevant experience as a Quality Analyst in a healthcare setting
• At least 6 months of experience conducting QA reviews of DBQs according to VA and MDE requirements
• Deep knowledge of medical terminology and quality assurance methodologies
• Proficient with computers, including Microsoft tools
