Job Summary
To support a progressive nonprofit public interest community, a full-time DC Licensed Employment Attorney will provide legal advice and representation on employment law matters, including drafting materials and reviewing policies, with the option to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement from downtown DC.
Key responsibilities
- Provide employment-related legal advice and counseling to nonprofit organizational clients
- Draft employment-related materials and review personnel policies and handbooks
- Assist clients in navigating complex employee matters and compliance with employment laws
Required qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in employment and/or labor law
- Experience with a broad range of employment law topics, including anti-discrimination and wage and hour laws
- Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills
- Member of or eligible for admission to the DC Bar
- Experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus
