DC Licensed Nonprofit Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Exempt Organization (EO) Senior Attorney/Of Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on nonprofit formation and governance
• Assist with maintaining tax exemption status and compliance with lobbying and campaign finance laws
• Represent clients before state and federal regulatory agencies governing nonprofits

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in nonprofit law
• Member of or eligible for admission to the DC Bar
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to relocate to the DC area if not currently located there
