DC Licensed Parent Educator

Job Summary

To support vulnerable families, the full-time remote DC Licensed Parent Educator will engage in community outreach to recruit participants, provide home visiting services including education and screenings, and ensure accurate documentation of performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer families through community engagement for the home visiting program
• Utilize screening tools for assessments and coordinate health and family support services
• Document, collect, and report performance measurement data in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, or some college coursework with experience working with families and young children
• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including word processing and internet use
• Knowledge of community resources in Washington, DC
• Demonstrated cultural competence and excellent judgment in parenting skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
