DC Licensed Parent Educator

Job Summary

To support vulnerable families, the full-time remote DC Licensed Parent Educator will be responsible for recruiting participants through community engagement, providing parent education and screening services via home visits, and documenting performance measurements and data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Actively recruit volunteer families for the home visiting program through community outreach
• Utilize screening tools for mandated assessments to coordinate and deliver essential health and family support services
• Accurately document and report performance measurements and other data in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, some college classes, or an Associate's Degree, along with relevant experience with families and young children
• Knowledge of community resources in Washington, DC
• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including word processing and internet use
• Demonstrated cultural competence and excellent judgment in dealing with diverse parental skill levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
