DE and SAR Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a TPO Underwriter (DE/SAR) to analyze and evaluate loan applications from third-party originators.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite 3-4 new loans daily, ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and minimizing risk
• Maintain 24-48 hour turn times and clear UTC conditions within 24 hours
• Stay updated on guideline changes and assist in training new underwriters and broker coordinators

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 3-5 years of underwriting experience with comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage business
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Experience with FHA, VA, and Agency loans
• Direct Endorsement (DE) certification required; LAPP/SAR preferred
• Knowledge of Encompass LOS
