DE Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the DE Mortgage Underwriter will conduct thorough analyses of loan files to ensure compliance with guidelines, underwrite residential mortgage loans, and maintain productivity standards while assisting in training new underwriters.

Key responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive analyses of loan files for compliance with company and investor guidelines
• Underwrite credit packages and collateral for residential mortgage loans, ensuring investment quality
• Maintain underwriting activity logs and provide monthly reports to the underwriting manager

Required qualifications

• Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience with knowledge of underwriting guidelines
• Experience with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Technologically proficient with strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical abilities
