DE/SAR Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter (DE/SAR).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite 2-3 new loans daily, analyzing income, credit, assets, ratios, and collateral to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Maintain 24-48 hour turn times and clear UTC conditions within 24 hours
• Stay updated on investor, agency, and guideline changes, while providing training support to the sales force

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an Underwriter with comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage business
• Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and Agency loans
• Direct Endorsement (DE) and LAPP/SAR certifications required
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Encompass experience preferred
