DE SAR Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented DE/SAR Underwriter, the full-time remote position will manage the review of mortgage loan applications, ensuring compliance with investor and agency guidelines while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Review loan files for completeness and ensure documentation meets agency or investor guidelines
• Calculate income from complex financial documents and run automated underwriting systems as required
• Communicate with internal parties regarding loan status and manage pipeline deadlines to meet closing milestones

Required qualifications

• DE/SAR certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in conventional and government underwriting for two or more agencies (VA, FHA, USDA)
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with Encompass LOS preferred
