DE/SAR Underwriter

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote DE/SAR Underwriter will review and analyze loan applications, ensuring compliance with FHA, VA, and Bond loan guidelines, while leveraging over 5 years of underwriting experience.

Key responsibilities

• Diligently review credit, income, and asset documentation to assess borrower creditworthiness
• Analyze property appraisal reports and complex loans, including self-employed borrowers' tax returns
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control standards are met and loans are successfully funded

Required qualifications

• DE & SAR certifications are mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience with FHA, VA, and Bond loans
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Thorough knowledge of loan origination systems, with Encompass being a plus
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume underwriting environment
