Dean of General Education

Job Summary

To support the strategic vision of the institution, the fully remote Dean of General Education will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the General Education curriculum while fostering academic excellence and collaboration across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and assessment of the General Education curriculum to align with institutional outcomes and accreditation standards
• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty while promoting innovative teaching practices and student-centered instruction
• Oversee initiatives to enhance student persistence, retention, and graduation through data-informed academic support and remediation strategies

Required qualifications

• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education
• Experience in faculty leadership, curriculum development, and continuous quality improvement
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation, assessment, and institutional effectiveness
• Proven success in leading organizational change and strategic initiatives
