Debt Collector

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collector II.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact responsible parties on loans to determine the cause of delinquency
• Assist in developing repayment plans and cross-sell Credit Union products and services
• Make recommendations to supervisors regarding necessary actions to protect the Credit Union's interests

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• Knowledge of Debtor/Creditor Collection Law and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
• Experience in a call center environment is beneficial
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of office and PC equipment, including automated collection software
• Bilingual (Spanish) is desired
