Job Summary
Leading growth initiatives across Department of War programs, the full-time salaried VP of Business Development (Defense) will drive pipeline development, shape opportunities, and secure strategic partnerships within the defense ecosystem while engaging directly with Pentagon and senior defense stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts within the Department of War
- Build and manage a pipeline across contracts, OTAs, and SBIRs
- Shape and capture opportunities from early identification through award
Required qualifications
- 15+ years in defense, government, or national security roles
- Senior-level experience in military, government, or equivalent leadership
- Deep familiarity with the Department's acquisition and funding landscape
- Proven ability to build relationships and convert mission needs into funded programs
- Must be a US Citizen based in the Washington DC area
