Defense Contracting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, Defense Contracting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all DoD contracting activities, including proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract compliance
• Collaborate with general managers to develop pricing and delivery schedules aligned with program requirements
• Manage the lifecycle of all DoD contracts and task orders from RFP analysis through proposal submission and execution

Required Qualifications

• Former warranted contracting officer within the U.S. Department of Defense or equivalent acquisition authority
• 8+ years of experience in federal acquisition with a deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and DoD procurement processes
• Proven ability to prepare, negotiate, and manage DoD contracts end-to-end
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with technical teams to align contract deliverables with operational realities
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving startup environment while maintaining compliance and professionalism
