Defense Procurement Buyer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Buyer - Defense Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee cradle-to-grave procurement processes in compliance with federal regulations and company policies
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontracts aligned with DoD contract requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management with a focus on DoD and DCMA contracting
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related federal procurement regulations
• Proven experience interfacing with DCMA and supporting government contract compliance
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, or SAP
