Defense Proposal Leader

Job Summary

Leading a team of application engineers in a fully remote capacity, the Defense Technical Solutions Proposal Leader will provide technical leadership throughout the sales project lifecycle for defense-focused programs, particularly in marine platforms and military electrification.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical interface with defense customers and prime contractors to ensure compliance with mission requirements and performance objectives
• Oversee the development of proposals, including technical inputs and risk identification, while translating customer needs into system-level solutions
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, balancing hands-on technical involvement with resource planning and capability development across multiple concurrent programs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience in application engineering or systems engineering for complex technical programs
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams and managing project execution
• Demonstrated experience in defense, naval, or government-funded programs, with direct customer interaction
• Must be a US Citizen
