Delaware Licensed Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts, the full-time Delaware Licensed Collections Specialist will perform collection activities, initiate contact with debtors, document communications, and provide exceptional customer service while working onsite in New Castle, DE.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate contact with debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate payment arrangements
• Document all collection activities in compliance with client standards and Federal Regulations
• Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate debtors with changed contact information

Required qualifications

• Must be able to obtain the required license for collecting upon placement
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or related fields preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles, preferably in a financial or credit environment
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to communicate effectively with debtors
• Basic computing skills and familiarity with collections software and CRM systems
