Job Summary
Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight, the full-time remote Denial Management Manager will manage a team of Denial Specialists, ensuring the timely resolution of denied and underpaid claims while driving continuous improvement and optimizing reimbursement processes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Denial Specialists, providing coaching and performance management to meet departmental goals
- Own performance outcomes related to denial-related Accounts Receivable, including recovery and compliance with appeal timelines
- Conduct root-cause analysis of denial trends and implement corrective action plans to mitigate future issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare revenue cycle, with at least four years in denial management
- Three years of leadership experience supervising teams in denial resolution or related revenue cycle functions
- Working knowledge of government and non-government payer requirements and reimbursement rules
- Proficiency in Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) systems
