Denial Management Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Denials Management Specialist (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve outstanding denials and complete necessary follow-up accurately and timely
• Identify denial trends and educate on prevention of future avoidable denials
• Manage insurance appeals and outstanding accounts receivable related to denials

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in medical billing with exposure to denials, appeals, and insurance collections
• Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT-4 coding
• Familiarity with insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) and remittance/remark codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
