Denial Management Specialist

Job Summary

The full-time Denial Management Specialist will manage denial and accounts receivable (AR) processes remotely, focusing on resolving outstanding denials, initiating insurance appeals, and identifying denial trends to improve future claims processing.

Key responsibilities

• Research and resolve outstanding denials while completing necessary follow-up in a timely manner
• Identify denial trends and provide education to prevent future avoidable denials
• Initiate and manage all insurance appeals promptly

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in medical billing with exposure to denials, appeals, and insurance collections
• Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT-4 coding
• Familiarity with insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) and remittance codes
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
