Denial Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Denial Specialist to join their Patient Accounting team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve denied insurance claims for accurate reimbursement
• Submit retro-authorization appeals and required documentation per payer guidelines
• Identify trends in denials and collaborate with internal teams to update patient account information

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, preferably in billing or insurance follow-up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
• Experience in denials management or insurance claims processing preferred
• Ability to work efficiently within payer portals and understand submission requirements
