Denials and Appeals Specialist

Job Summary

Reviewing carrier denials within a full-time remote capacity, the Denials and Appeals Specialist will ensure accurate processing of invoices and manage necessary claim rebills while collaborating with the Accounts Receivable Team.

Key responsibilities

• Review ETM task list assignments and rebill claims as necessary
• Determine appropriate actions for denials based on carrier requirements
• Assemble and forward documentation to senior representatives for carrier-related issues

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of medical billing experience preferred
• Knowledge of physician billing policies and procedures
• Computer literate with the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
