Denials Management Specialist

Job Summary

To support effective denial and accounts receivable management, the full-time Denials Management Specialist will research and resolve outstanding denials, manage insurance appeals, and communicate denial trends while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Research and resolve all outstanding denials and complete necessary follow-up in a timely manner
• Identify denial trends and provide education to prevent future avoidable denials
• Initiate and manage all insurance appeals promptly and manage outstanding AR related to denials

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in medical billing with exposure to denials, appeals, and insurance collections
• Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT-4 coding
• Familiarity with insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) and remittance codes
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
