Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and review payment denials and process claims within assigned time frames
• Utilize research tools to expedite resolution of denied claims and assist in developing denial procedures
• Contact carriers regarding denied claims and report any consistent errors affecting claim processing

Required Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of experience in physician medical billing with a focus on claim denials
• Thorough knowledge of physician billing policies and healthcare reimbursement guidelines
• High school diploma or equivalent
• General knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Excel
