Dental Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for overall accounts receivable claim follow-up, the full-time Dental Insurance Specialist will review and transmit claims, ensure accuracy of patient bills, and identify opportunities to streamline the billing process while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and transmit claims using electronic and manual methods
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances and correct Medicaid claims as needed
• Analyze frequent claim edits/errors to streamline the billing process

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in dental aging follow-up and familiarity with third-party healthcare claims
• Courses in Insurance Dental Billing and Dental terminology preferred
• Proficiency with Dentrix and knowledge of the revenue cycle process
• Intermediate mathematics skills for calculating charges and reconciling financial data
