Job Summary

To enhance operational efficiency in a clinical setting, the full-time Department Administrator will oversee departmental operations, manage budgets, and facilitate communication among faculty and staff while working in a hybrid onsite/remote environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepares and monitors departmental budgets in alignment with strategic plans and institutional guidelines
  • Directs human resource management activities including recruitment, selection, and performance evaluations for faculty and staff
  • Develops and implements strategic business and operations plans in collaboration with the department Chair to achieve financial and operational goals
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree (MBA or MHA) preferred
  • Seven years of progressive healthcare, research, or business management experience, including three years in a management role
  • Experience in clinical operations, faculty scheduling, and budget planning is preferred
  • Completion of LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory experience
  • Experience within academic medicine or healthcare, particularly in a clinical environment, is strongly preferred
