Department Chair, Health Administration

Job Summary

Leading a department focused on educational excellence, the full-time remote Department Chair, Health Administration will manage the Doctor of Health Administration, Master of Health Administration, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs while fostering collaboration and strategic growth in a graduate health professions education environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide innovative leadership and oversight for the Health Administration and Nursing Department, ensuring academic rigor and collaboration
• Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and compliance with accreditation standards
• Supervise departmental faculty and support curriculum development, student progression, and recruitment efforts

Required qualifications

• Academic doctorate in a health/healthcare field (PhD, DNP, DHA, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in academic administration of a health professions program
• At least 7 years of full-time graduate teaching experience in Health Administration and/or Nursing
• Demonstrated experience with online curriculum development and accreditation processes (CCNE or CAHME preferred)
• Strong record of innovation and strategic thinking in educational program development
