Job Summary

Providing strategic and operational leadership, the full-time remote Department Head of Communication Studies will guide faculty and programs toward excellence, focusing on faculty success, curriculum development, and student support initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaboratively create and implement a vision for the department while overseeing faculty workload planning and performance evaluation
• Lead the development of courses and innovative teaching practices, ensuring alignment with institutional goals for student success
• Deliver high-quality online instruction and foster a supportive learning environment for adult learners

Required qualifications:

• Earned doctorate degree in a discipline aligned with the academic program
• Experience in academic leadership, including faculty development and curriculum oversight
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation in academic programs
• Collaborative and student-centered approach to leadership and instructional support
• Evidence of experience in high-quality teaching and service within higher education
