Department of Treasury Licensed Security Technician
Job Summary
Seeking a Department of Treasury Licensed Security Technician, the full-time remote position will install, maintain, and repair integrated electronic security systems, specifically Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), while collaborating with service and engineering teams and clients in the Boston, MA area.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, procure, install, and maintain electronic security systems, including conducting annual IDS testing
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members and customers, addressing issues and documenting work completed
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and installation of electronic components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and schematics
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with government or commercial installations of security systems
- Demonstrated training in circuitry, wiring connections, and installation of ACS, IDS, and VSS hardware/software
- Formal training in electronics or certifications related to security system installation
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as digital multimeters and video test monitors
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Department of Treasury clearance
