Deputy Chief Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the Chief Engineer in a full-time capacity, the Deputy Chief Engineer will manage technical execution, multi-cloud operations, and DevSecOps innovation for the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next contract, ensuring secure application delivery and compliance across various cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and scaling of enterprise-wide CI/CD pipelines to enhance DevSecOps technical execution
• Evaluate and integrate emerging DevSecOps tools and techniques to optimize the Cloud One ecosystem
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) scripts tailored for DoD Impact Levels

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering with 12+ years of technical experience
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading software, cloud, or systems engineering teams in defense programs
• Advanced proficiency with IaC and CaC tooling, specifically Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab Runners
• Extensive background in executing RMF processes and managing architectures in secure multi-enclave environments
