Job Summary
Overseeing the creation and implementation of communications strategies, the full-time salaried Deputy Director of Conservation Communications will lead efforts to advance conservation goals in the North America Region, managing staff and facilitating collaboration across various teams while engaging with external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage multiple complex projects and initiatives to ensure program accountability and strategic goal achievement
- Oversee professional staff responsible for key communications projects and initiatives
- Develop and manage project budgets, evaluate results, and implement corrective strategies as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing staff and teams
- Proven track record in developing communications, media, and engagement strategies
- Experience in cultivating and managing client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, including financial responsibility and measuring outcomes
