Deputy Director of Engagement

Job Summary

Leading the management and growth of the State Chief Data Officers Network, the full-time Deputy Director of Engagement will provide operational leadership and strategic direction while fostering collaboration across the Digital Government Network and the Beeck Center's various functions in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and expand the State Chief Data Officers Network, ensuring effective program oversight and strategic direction
• Facilitate collaboration between the Digital Government Network and other internal teams to achieve shared organizational goals
• Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government officials and philanthropic partners, while mentoring team members and contractors

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant leadership experience in program management or network facilitation
• Experience in government agencies, particularly within data offices or digital service teams
• Proven track record in establishing and expanding multi-stakeholder peer-learning networks
• Deep knowledge of public sector data landscapes and governance frameworks
• Exceptional relationship management skills with experience advising executive-level data leaders
