Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel to oversee core legal operations and serve as a primary legal advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the legal function, advising internal teams and supporting the General Counsel
• Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial contracts
• Provide legal advice on risks and regulatory considerations across multiple departments

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 10+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in-house supporting technology companies
• Experience with SaaS agreements and understanding of B2B subscription-based business models
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional legal matters and balance legal risk with business objectives
• Familiarity with global privacy and cybersecurity laws is a bonus
